The Finance Minister of Ghana Mr. Ken Ofori Atta is said; to have questioned the Accra-based Asaase radio editorial board for publishing news content of the majority group in Parliament highlighting the call for the President of Ghana Nana Akufo Addo to sack him from office.
The majority group in parliament who are not unsatisfied with the performance of the finance minister on the grounds of conflict of interest in day to day running of Ghana’s economy believe will collapse if the finance minister says in office for another two years after failing manage the economy in the past six years of the ruling New Patriotic Party’s government. The embattled finance minister who is also a board member of the Asaase radio who didn’t miss a word told the news editors of the day that.
“I don’t expect you people to join the chorus for my dismissal. Do you guys know that I’m the one who pays you? Do you think you will survive without me? You go ahead’’ he said.
This outburst from the shareholder of the media house compelled the editorial board of the station to pull down the news item published on the radio station news portal.
