Ghana’s first-choice goalie Jojo Wollacott will miss the World Cup in Qatar because of injury, according to sportsworldghana.com
Wollacott suffered a finger injury on Saturday at his club Charlton just days before the start of the 2022 World Cup.
He was forced to pull out of the pre-game warmups due to the injury and will have a scan to determine its extent later on Saturday night in a game against Burton Albion.
Sports World Ghana reports that the player’s injury wasn’t a minor one as earlier anticipate, ruling him out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Meanwhile, Ghana coach Otto Addo will announce his final 26-man squad on Monday 14th December, 2022.
